Please read this material carefully even if it may seem like a lot. Knowing our shop regulations and how your fish will arrive is crucial when ordering live animals.

What does the Arrive Alive Guarantee cover?
Please send us at with clear pictures of your fish in the original shipping bag if it is DOA (dead on arrival). AVOID OPENING THE BAG. Within two hours of delivery, this must be completed. No exceptions—we will verify this timeline using the tracking data.
If the fish is dead on arrival, we will give you store credit for the price of the fish, which you can apply toward future purchases at
Shipping is non-refundable
There is no guarantee or warranty on fish once they are delivered in good health because we cannot monitor your aquariums or water conditions.
The arrive alive guarantee for USPS Priority delivery is only valid for transit times of 4 days or fewer (Monday through Thursday). We do not provide a "arrive alive" guarantee if it takes longer than 4 days for your box to arrive.
Please get in touch with us within two hours of delivery if you think the fish you received is not in excellent health for any reason and send us images. Remember that the fish's pallor after shipping is normal. They may need some time to adjust to their new house because the procedure might be stressful.
Is sending fish in the mail safe?
Yes, generally speaking! Fish are shipped daily and are extremely safe to do so. Fish are transported via shipping to all fish markets, ports of entry, and, of course, your front door. We take every precaution with proper packaging to ensure a safe arrival, but there are obviously other factors to take into account, such as the method utilized, the weather, and how the box is handled in transit.


How old do I have to be to order a betta?

You must be 18 years or older to purchase a fish, or have parent or guardian permissio

 When will my fish ship?
On business days, we send the fish out the next day.
If we decide that the weather makes it unsafe to ship, we reserve the right to hold your fish until the weather is safe.  
The email address you provided when placing your order will receive a tracking number once your fish has been dispatched. Please pay great attention to the tracking updates. Setting up SMS or email alerts for your order is highly recommended. You can do this on the UPS or USPS tracking page. This will enable you to receive any delivery updates and be informed when it arrives. This will not only help you get your fish inside more quickly, but it will also help you stay within the DOA policy's time restriction.
Where do you ship to?
We only ship to the US, excluding Hawaii, Alaska and US territories. We cannot ship fish internationally. 
Do you offer cancellations or returns?

We do not accept refunds on any live fish , as purchasing any live animal is a commitment.  A 10% restocking fee applies to all cancellations. Once an order ships, it cannot be canceled.  A 10% restocking fee and the cost of return shipping apply to returns of unused dry items.
